Educational guide for the Villa Savoye

More than 600,000 students discover each year the diversity and richness of the monuments, spanning the ages, managed by the Center of National Monuments : abbeys, castles, prehistoric caves, archeological sites, commemorative places and edifices...

Places of remembrance and history, the national moments take part in the formation of our country's cultural identity. In studying and visiting them, we can learn a great deal more about history, art history, architecture, literature, music, the visual arts, the sciences and technologies... These monuments are therefore ideal places for artistic and cultural education.

Today, the Center of National Monuments associates itself with the initiative of the Ministry of National Education to support art history education. In collaboration with the academies, it offers pedagogical ressources to professors in keeping with their new expectations, helps them to elaborate their projects, and develops teaching plans.

Specific or pre-designed visits (personalized visits, visit-lectures, cultural or historical heritage workshops...) are offered to classes in nearly 60 monuments. The integrality of the educational initiative services provided by the Center of National Monuments, as well as its pedagogical resources, are available on line
