Docomomo International – Restoration prize awarded to Le Coubusier’s Apartment-Studio
On November 9, at the Académie d’Architecture, the Fondation Le Corbusier and the Chatillon Architectes agency received the International Docomomo Rehabilitation Award, for the restoration of Le Corbusier’s apartment-studio carried out in 2018.
Located in the Immeuble Molitor, designed by Le Corbusier, this duplex was the architect’s living and creative space from 1934 to 1965. Owned by the Fondation Le Corbusier, it is open to visitors on Thursday and Friday afternoons, and all day on Saturdays. To enhance the value of this historic site, the Fondation organizes guided tours every day it is open.
